Configure Time Clock Settings in Pallet Connect
1. The Time-Clock feature is a useful add-on tool, that allows employees to clock in and out and track hours. The Time-Clock then generates reporting for payroll.
This article provides information on the settings that affect Time-clock usage.
TIP! These Time-Clock settings work well when the "Shift Schedule" is utilized. See related article.

2. To view the settings, navigate to the Main Menu and click "Settings".

3. Click "System Settings".

4. Click the "Time Clock" section of the Settings Menu.

5. SETTING #1: Click here to manage "Enforce Shift Clock In Clock Out"

6. Enabling this setting will not allow the employee to clock in prior to their shift (set in the shift schedule). They will receive an alert on the screen. A Grace Period can be added for this setting - see Step 9 in the article.
TIP! If this setting is disabled, there is no time restriction for when employees are able to clock in and out.

7. SETTING #2: Click here to manage "Auto Paid Lunch To Attendance".

8. If this setting is enabled it will automatically add in a paid lunch, when the employee forgets to clock in/out for lunch. The lunch break will be added in the middle of the employee's shift based on the time worked.
TIP! When enabled, this setting will only apply to employees who have a "paid meal" time set in their employee profile.
This settings also adds a clock in or out time, if the employee forgets. For example, if an employee clocks in but forgets to use the time clock when they go home, the system will use the schedule to clock out automatically.

9. SETTING #3: Click this number field to enter in the "Grace Period". Choose a time by minutes.
This allows the employee to clock in early and uses the same number for the employee to clock out late. For example, if this is set for 15 mins, an employee scheduled for 8:00 AM will be able to clock in at 7:45 AM.
NOTE: This number only applies when the "enforce shift" setting is enabled.

10. Click this dropdown to enter in the rounding number interval. There is a drop down menu with a choice of 5 mins, 15 mins or 30 mins.
The exact time of clock in or out is not shown on the time-clock report. It will instead show as a rounded number.
TIP! Set to zero to disable.

11. SETTING #4: Click here to manage "Show Warnings on Time Clock".

12. This settings adds a column to the Time-clock report, that lists warnings for that day.
Warnings include: "Early Clock In", "Early Clock Out", "Late Clock In" and "Late Clock Out"
(only applicable when "Enforce Shift clock in/out is not set).
The other alerts are: "Missed Break" and "Missed Lunch", "No Clock In", "No Clock Out", "Has Overtime", "Unscheduled Clock In" and "Unscheduled Clock Out".

13. Remember to click "Save Settings" to complete any changes.
