How Pallet Connect Tracks Driver Location through GPS

From their log in, a driver can clock in or out while on the road, using the time clock. They can also complete a transaction while at the destination. Pallet Connect has the ability to record GPS coordinates when a driver either uses the time-clock or when they complete a delivery or pick up. This article explains how a manager or admin user can retrieve this information.
Tip: Tip! The coordinates will appear if location services are enabled on the device or browser used to clock in. If location access is disabled, the coordinates will not be recorded or displayed.
How to Verify a Driver’s Time Clock Location
1. Pallet Connect does NOT use Geo-fencing, which limits user function based on location. The time-clock uses GPS tracking instead. The driver’s GPS location is recorded when they clock in and when they clock out.
To view the time-clock report, click the main Menu.

2. Click Employees.

3. Click Timeclock Report.

4. Click the time-clock date range field to adjust the date.

5. Click the name of the driver from the list.
6. The GPS coordinates will appear below the picture.
TIP! Click on the co-ordinates to open maps in a separate window.

How to Verify Driver Check In / Signature location
7. For transactions scheduled to a driver, the driver has the option to "check in" on arrival at the destination (which is recommended). The driver also signs to complete the transaction. The driver’s GPS location are recorded at check in and time of signature.
To view the Driver report, Click Logistics from the main menu.

8. Click Driver Report.

9. Click the Date Range field to adjust the date range.

10. The GPS columns are hidden by default. To edit the report layout, click the Edit Columns button.

11. From the Available Columns section, click the plus icon to add the Checked In Gps column.

12. Click the plus icon to add the Time Signed Gps column.

13. Click Apply Changes to save.

14. Review the GPS coordinates for when the driver signed or checked in.

15. TIP! Click on the co-ordinates from the report to display the related transaction page.
TIP! Click on the map button to review the locations on a map view.
