How to add an External Driver to the Driver Schedule
1. There are situations when an External Transport Company/Driver needs to be scheduled internally. This usually occurs with a smaller transport company or a third party Driver.
This article explains the steps to add an external Driver to the Pallet Connect Driver Schedule.
2. From the main menu, click "Logistics"
3. Click "Manage Transport Companies"
4. Click on the transport company from the list.
5. From the profile dashboard, click "Edit Contact"
6. Click the "Users" tab.
7. Any existing Users will be listed.
Click "Add New User" button
8. Fill out the "First Name" field.
9. Fill out the "Last Name" field.
10. Fill out the "Email Address" field.
11. Click here to enable the User to receive emails from Pallet Connect.
12. Click here to enable the driver to see pricing.
13. A temporary Password will be emailed to the User.
14. NOTE: The email will confirm that the Driver is set up for the site and provides a log-in link.
15. Click "Save This User" to complete
16. If the User wishes to connect to Pallet Connect through the app. Click here to "link app".
The driver will download the app on their device. They will click "connect to account" in the app and provide the 6 digit code. Type in the code provided and they will be linked.
17. Click "Save" and close the profile.
18. From the logistics section of the main menu, click "Driver Schedule".
19. The User is now displayed on the Driver Schedule.
NOTE: (TRANSPORT COMPANY) is written after the name, to separate from internal drivers.
TIP! This will only work for contacts who are ONLY a transport company. If the contact is also listed as a Supplier etc. they will not show on the schedule
20. Deliveries and Pick Ups can now be scheduled as usual.
