1. There are times when an Affiliate is assigned to an transaction but cannot carry out the logistics portion. An external transport company is therefore added separately.
This article walks through the steps to add an external transport to an affiliate-linked transaction (Customer Order or Vendor Pick Up). There are options to either add a driver whilst creating the transaction, or after the transaction has been completed.
#1 ASSIGN WHILE CREATING A TRANSACTION To start, create the Affiliate Linked Order/Pick Up. Navigate to the Brokerage section of the Main Menu, and start the transaction as usual. For example "New Customer Order" or "New Pick Up".
2. After the Address page and the stock items have been selected, the Transport Company can now be added on the 'Schedule Delivery' page of the process.
3. To assign a Transport Company, click "Assign To Transport Company".
4. Search for the transport company and select from the drop down.

5. Enter the appropriate fees. Then, click "Assign This Transport Company".
6. The assigned Transport Company is now displayed. Once everything is complete, click "Next".
7. Click "Confirm Order" as usual.
8. Click "Confirm" to finalize the transaction.
9. The Affiliate Linked Order/Vendor Request number will be generated as usual. The Affiliate transaction and the Transport transaction are listed separately but are linked to the main transaction.
10. This separate transaction will show as a "Payable Service Fee PO" for the Transport Company.
11. #2 ASSIGN TO AN OPEN TRANSACTION
Locate the open Affiliate Linked transaction from either the Global Search tool, or pending screens (Pending Orders or Pending Pick Ups, in the Brokerage module).
12. From the slide out screen, click "Menu"
13. Click "Assign To Transport Company"
14. Click the "Start Typing To Search" field to find the selected Transport Company.
15. Add the appropriate fees, as needed.
16. Click "Assign Driver" to add the Transport Company transaction to the main order/pick-up.
