How to Build a Recycled Pallet

Typically in Pallet Connect a Recycled Pallet is set up to be repaired from a broken pallet/core. Therefore this is usually captured as a 'repair' in the system.

This article explains how to set up a Recycled Pallet so that it can be built in Pallet Connect e.g constructed from recycled lumber.

For the Recycled Pallet to appear properly on the Build Schedule and in the "Capture build" feature; the user needs to enter a build list in the Build tab.

  1. From the Main Menu > Stock > Manage Recycled Pallets:

2. Click "Add New Item" to add a new entry for an item or click on an existing item from the list.

3. Make sure to click the "I Also Build This" field in the General tab. This will create the "Build Tab" where the dimensions and pallet info can be entered.

NOTE: A Recycled Pallet stock profile will not show a "build" tab when created.

4. Click "Edit Build" to start adding components of the build.

5. Enter a build list in the newly available Build tab for that pallet. A preview image of the pallet will appear on the right side of the page if "use an image" is checked off.

6. Save your changes after entering the build list by clicking "Confirm Build".

7. Remember to "Confirm Build" to save changes before exiting the profile.

8. The Recycled Pallet can now be manually added to the build schedule and captured for building as usual. Orders with this item will NOT show on the lefthand side of the build schedule as they are not always built.
