This article will explain how to modify the 'Services' items that are added in the Stock section of the menu. Services are non-product items that may need to be added in some transactions.
Some examples of services are delivery and processing fees, pallet repair & refurbishment, payment processing fees etc. The User can follow the steps below on how to modify each service.
NOTE: The Service "Trailer Load" is pre-loaded into the Pallet Connect system and the name cannot be changed. This is because it is used to create the Vendor Requests.
"Trailer Processing Fee" is linked to the Vendor profile (options tab) so it is suggested to not alter the name of this Service either.
- Go to Menu > Manage Services
2. Select the 'Service' from the list. There will be a pop-up window that will appear, showing the Item Profile.
3. The General Tab will allow you to change the name, assign a 'Short Name' or a shortcut text for the service. The SKU or barcode can also be entered on this page. The Service can be set to 'purchased' or 'sold' or both.
Make sure that the 'Stock Item Category' is set to 'Services'.
Tip! User can enable/disable the service by ticking the 'Active' box.
4. Export Config Tab will allow user to manage export settings for this Service. For example, enter an export code for the service.
the Export Code is useful if the Service has a different name in the accounting software.
5. Price List tab will let the user set the price with different conditions. In the example below, the price list are added by 'Tier' or can be set as 'Standard Pricing'.
