How to Set Up the Heads Up Display
Learn how to configure and link a Fire TV device to the Pallet Connect system. This guide walks through setting up a HUD (Heads Up Display). This is a useful feature that enhances visibility of the platform.
1. CREATE AND SET UP HUD: Navigate to the "Devices" section in the main menu and click on "Heads Up Displays (fire Tvs)"

2. Click the "Add New Heads Up Display" button to create and set up a new screen.

3. Type the assigned name into the "Description" field.

4. Click on the "Available Facilities" tab to assign the screen to the appropriate site.

5. Open the "Hud Options" tab. Click on "Screen" to reach the drop down menu. Select the type of screen that will be enabled. There are various options such as transactions, schedule, office screen.

6. Depending on the type of screen chosen, there are various set up options listed. For example, which stock categories to display or which employees are included etc. Check off the relevant information.

7. Click "Create Device" to save the changes.

8. LINK DEVICES: To link a device and use it as a Heads Up Display, first download the Pallet Connect app from the Amazon FireTV or Google TV app store.
NOTE: An Amazon Fire Stick or Google Hub can be used with a TV.
From a smart TV, download the "Fully Kiosk Launcher" app and use this url: https://hud2.palletconnect.com/ to reach the " Link This Display" screen.
9. The FireTV or Google TV will provide a 6 digit code. Enter the code into Pallet Connect to make the connection.

10. To enter the code, navigate to the set up page in Pallet Connect and click on "Link App to Device".

11. Enter the six-digit code, this will link the app.

12. The app will automatically reload on the TV and display the information previously selected within pallet connect.
