Managing Workstations in Pallet Connect

1. A workstation can be set up in Pallet Connect.

This can be a machine or shared production area that is named and added into the system. It is used to schedule and capture production.

It can consist of single or multiple seats and employees can be assigned to these seats. This article explains how to manage workstations in the system.

2. To view the workstation page, click "Productivity" from the main menu.

3. Click "Manage Workstations"

4. Active workstations are listed by default.

Click "Show Deleted" to show inactive workstations.

5. Click "Add New Workstation" to add a new workstation.

TIP! When adding the workstation use a unique name each time.

6. Click the "Search (enter To Apply)" field to search for a particular workstation from the list.

7. Click here to download and/or print the list.

8. Workstations listed will be named.. They can be assigned a production rating and are attached to a production department.

TIP! More than one department can be listed.

9. To view details of a workstation, click on the name.

10. The profile will show details of the workstation, for example, number of seats at the station, piece rate, the production rating and name.

TIP! In the "Available facilities" tab the facility where the workstation is located is shown. Only one facility is chosen as the workstation is physically in a location.

11. The workstation can be assigned an asset type also e.g. nailer, repair line.

TIP! Piece rate can be set as full piece rate for each employee or to be split evenly between the employees.

TIP! Employees are assigned to seats during production capture. However, employees can be assigned as default for each seat. From the "Manage Default Seats" tab, click on the employee name from the drop down, to the corresponding seat.

12. The workstation is assigned a PIN to be used with kiosks.

13. Click on the associated production department. Click on "schedule" for the workstation to be visible in that department schedule.

TIP! More than one department can be selected, or click on "Production" to check off all departments.

14. To save any changes, click "Update Workstation"
