Production Ratings explained.

1. In Pallet Connect the Ratings feature is an optional method to rank production processes. These Ratings can be applied to employees, stock items and workstations.

The Rating refers to the speed/efficiency a task is completed. The higher the Rating, the more is produced. There are 5 Ratings (A-E). "A" is the highest rating.

2. Add Rating to a stock item

To add a rating to a stock item, navigate to the stock item profile. Either through the Production section of the main menu or by searching the stock item name in the global search.

In the profile, click the "Production" tab.

3. Click this number field to add a Rating for build time. This determines how many of the item are expected to be built per hour. For example, an 'A' Rating employee/workstation is expected to build 80 of this pallet per hour, but a D rating only 50.

TIP - If machines are used these are generally given 'A' rating above employees due to consistency produced.

4. Click this number field to assign a piece rate related to Rating.

This allows different piece rates to be applied dependent on Rating level.

TIP! If an employee has a piece rate recorded in their profile this will override the piece rate in the stock item profile. See related article on assigning piece rates.

5. Add Rating to an employee.

From the main menu, click "Manage Employees", located in the 'Employee' or "Production" sub section.

6. Click on the selected employee from the list.

7. In the General tab of the profile. Click this dropdown to add the Rating.

TIP! - This Rating will override the stock item rating.

8. Add Rating to a Workstation.

From the main menu, click "Manage Workstations", located in the 'Production' sub section.

9. Click on the selected workstation from the list.

10. From the General tab, click this dropdown to add a Rating.

TIP! - This Rating is used as default during production, even if the employee assigned to a seat has a different recorded Rating. This keeps production times consistent when using a workstation.

NOTE: If there is no recorded Rating for a Workstation, the system uses the "C" Rating quantity in the stock item profile.
