System Settings: Logistics section
1. The Logistics system settings allow administrators to configure how scheduling, driver tasks, and cost calculations behave across the platform. These settings help plan logistics in advance, define what information drivers must capture and control how the planner and dock door modules operate.
Important: All fields marked as free text accept numeric values only to prevent calculation and scheduling errors.
- From the Main Menu > Settings > System Settings:

2. 2. Select 'Logistics'.

3. Setting Descriptions
Default Dockdoor Loading Time – free text (numeric only)
Defines the standard loading duration that will be applied when a task is scheduled in the Dock Door Planner. This value is used when no specific loading time is provided on the transaction.
Default Dockdoor Offloading Time – free text (numeric only)
Specifies the default off-loading duration to be scheduled in the Dock Door Planner for incoming deliveries.
Driver Must Provide Paper Slip Number For Orders – toggle on/off
When enabled, the driver must enter a paper slip number before they are able to sign and complete an order. This ensures proof of collection or delivery is captured.
Enable Ready To Dispatch – toggle on/off
Activates the optional "Ready To Dispatch" feature in Pallet Connect, allowing orders to be marked as prepared and awaiting assignment to a driver.
Google Travel Time – toggle on/off
Enables the use of Google Maps travel time calculations for scheduling. When active, estimated driving durations are calculated automatically based on real routes. If this is toggled off, the scheduled time defaults to 1 hour.
Enforce Dock Door Schedule From Driver Schedule – toggle on/off
If enabled, the system will automatically create a corresponding Dock Door schedule whenever a new task is assigned to a driver, keeping both planners synchronized.
Default Non Logistics Trailer Number – free text (numeric only)
Sets a default trailer number for transactions that do not require internal logistics management.
Fuel Surcharge – free text (numeric only)
Defines the fuel surcharge rate per distance unit (mile or kilometer) to be applied to transport calculations.
Fuel Surcharge Calculator – toggle on/off
Enables or disables the automatic fuel surcharge calculation on transactions.
Transport Fee Calculator – toggle on/off
Controls whether the transport fee calculator is available and applied to logistics transactions.
Preferred Time As Text – toggle on/off
Allows users to capture the preferred delivery time as a text value instead of a fixed time selection, when creating transactions.

4. Driver Can Only Use Existing Trailers – toggle on/off
When enabled, drivers may only select from pre-configured trailers and will not be able to create new trailer records from the mobile application.
Disable Hover In Planner – toggle on/off
Turns off the hover preview in the logistics planner. When disabled, transaction details and quick information will no longer appear when the mouse pointer is placed over an item, reducing distractions and improving performance on large schedules.
Driver To Schedule Days Back – free text (numeric only)
Determines how many days in the past the system should look when displaying orders available for driver scheduling.
Driver Planner Requires Confirmation – toggle on/off
Adds an approval step when a driver completes a job. Completed tasks move into a Pending Confirmation stage before finalization.
Preferred Transaction Identifier Display – dropdown
Select which identifier should be shown when viewing or hovering over transactions in logistics. Available options:
- Invoice Number
- Pallet Connect ID
- Delivery Slip Number
- Order Number
