[Employees](https://support.palletconnect.com/knowledge-base/employees?hsLang=en#employees) # Timeclock: How to Use the Clock-In System To use the clock-in system, employees and users must enter their unique personal identification number (PIN) using the numpad on the clocking device. NOTE: This PIN is found in the general tab of the employee profile. The PIN can be printed as a bar code. An ID badge with the bar code attached, can be printed from the employee profile and this can be used to clock in and out. Click on the bar code icon on the number pad.  A barcode scanner will need to be attached to use the barcode feature.   ![](https://support.palletconnect.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/15293959048987-1.png) To clock in as they arrive each day, employees must click on the blue button located on the left side of the screen.![](https://support.palletconnect.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/15295117296923-1.png) To clock out at the end of the day, employees should enter their PIN and click on the blue button located on the right side of the screen. ![](https://support.palletconnect.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/15295256961819-1.png) The clock-in system also allows for the tracking of employee breaks. When an employee takes a break, they must clock out and then clock back in when they return.
