Using the Stock Adjustment feature to change stock item quantity

1. When Supplier Purchases and Customer Orders are entered into Pallet Connect, and production is captured; stock levels are automatically adjusted, to reflect current stock.

There are times though when stock needs to be adjusted manually. This can be achieved through the stock adjustment feature.

2. Navigate to the main menu and click "Stock".

TIP: SHORTCUT: Type the stock item name into the global search, located on the top right corner of any page. This will bypass steps 2-4.

3. Click on the relevant stock category e.g. "Manage New Pallets"

4. Click on the selected item from the list.

5. In the General tab of the stock item profile "Current Stock" is displayed.

6. Click this icon to reset the current level to zero.

7. Click the edit icon, to alter the current stock level.

8. Click "Add Stock" to increase the current stock level. Click "Remove stock" to decrease the current level.

9. Click this number field to enter the quantity that will be added or removed.

TIP! Do not enter the new total, only the number of items that are being added or removed.

10. Click this number field to assign a value to the stock item.

TIP! This is the value per unit, not total value of the adjustment.

11. Click this field to add a note explaining the reason for adjustment.

12. Click "Save" to complete.

13. Now, the "Current Stock" level on the stock profile, will show the new quantity.

TIP! There is a refresh button to show real time quantity, without exiting the page.

14. If a cost was entered then it will affect the average cost.

For example, for a new pallet this is displayed in the "build" tab of the item profile.

15. Click the "View History" button at the bottom of the profile to see a record of the adjustment.

16. The stock adjustment will be listed in the history log.

17. Click on the adjustment for more details.

18. This page will displays details of the stock adjustment.

19. There is an action menu attached. This can be used to delete or edit the transaction, or view the user log.
